A Mexican trade delegation received a behind-the-scenes look at North Dakotan corn production last week. “Members from all areas of ag are visiting from Mexico just to get a better understanding of where their commodities come from and questions they have about their corn,” said Carson Klosterman, chair, North Dakota Corn Utilization Council. “We’ve had some great conversations on the quality of the corn.” Klosterman says hosting the Mexican delegation also opens up the possibility of expanding export markets. “There’s always room for growth on the whole feedgrain side and also ethanol. It’s quite eye-opening how much these other countries are hungry for higher grades of ethanol.”
