A bipartisan group of House members have introduced legislation calling for year-round access to higher blends of ethanol. The sponsors include Minnesota Democrat Angie Craig and South Dakota Republican Dusty Johnson. Under current law, there are limits on the availability of 15 percent ethanol blends during the summer. The EPA granted waivers in recent years, but a more permanent solution is being sought.
