Sunflowers are doing well this year despite being a little bit behind. National Sunflower Association Executive Director John Sandbakken expects sunflower growers to have a decent year overall. “We kind of bottomed out in the market in March of this year but we’ve had a nice rally since then. We’ve gained $5.50 at the crush plants on nearby prices.” Sandbakken says new crop prices for 2025 cash is $25/cwt and Act of God is $20/cwt so things are looking pretty good.
