President Joe Biden was in Wisconsin Thursday to announce $7.3 billion in federal funding for rural electric cooperatives. The money will be used to build or purchase climate-friendly energy projects. Sixteen rural electric cooperatives have been selected for the money, including three in this region; Basin Electric Power Cooperative, Great River Energy and Minnkota Power Cooperative.
