A group of Midwest farms and pork processors is appealing a lower court ruling that upheld the Massachusetts Question 3 initiative. Triumph Foods is leading this effort along with Christensen Farms Midwest, New Fashion Pork and others. This animal welfare law bans the sale of pork that doesn’t meet specific sow housing standards. A federal court ruled earlier this summer there is no conflict between the Massachusetts rule and federal regulations.
