Allendale is forecasting a 15 billion bushel corn crop. That is down from USDA’s latest estimate of 15.1 billion bushels. Allendale is forecasting an average corn yield of 182.5 bushels per acre, down more than a half-bushel from USDA’s estimate. Allendale’s soybean production total is 4.6 billion bushels, up from 4.5 billion bushels in last month’s USDA report. Allendale surveyed farmers from August 19th-through-the 30th for this forecast. USDA will release its next crop production report on September 12.
