Pioneer Field Agronomist Kevin Sinner is featured in the latest Pioneer Agronomy Update. The recent cool, wet weather pattern was a setback for Growing Degree Units. GDUs are lagging behind the average for this date, especially with the late planting. “Where we do have good crop establishment, things look really nice though with some of these corn fields just beginning to dent and soybean pods continuing to fill.” Sinner says some of the later-planted corn is just beginning to pollinate and those crops will need time to finish.
