Soybean ending stocks were the biggest surprise in the USDA report. New crop soybean ending stocks totaled 560 million bushels. That’s up from 435 million bushels in the July report. Corn stocks dropped slightly, but were still in the 2 million bushel range. U.S. wheat ending stocks totaled 828 million bushels while the trade was expecting stocks of 861 million.
