USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service will contact small grain farmers during the first two weeks of September. The purpose is to get a comprehensive look at the production and supply of small grains, including wheat, oats, barley and rye. North Dakota State Statistician Darin Jantzi says NASS will contact more than 3,300 North Dakota farmers to get an accurate measure of 2024 acres, yield and production for small grains and the quantities of grains and oilseeds stored on farms.
