Peterson Farms Seed Precision Systems Specialist Nolan Berg spoke at the company’s Aberdeen Field Day, “I work in the technology space, so I’m looking at drones, different sensors to understand different trials that we have going on in the field and I’ve been looking at some of the new biological products in the industry.” The price point has come down in many cases. “We can now play with that stuff and use some of the newer tech to better understand what the plants are doing. Things like handheld sensors where you can do leaf tissue testing in the field and get results in 30 seconds and then we can take the action based on what it’s seeing.”
