The Nebraska wheat harvest is nearing the finish line. “This week we are about 86 percent complete across the state, which is above the five-year average of 60 percent,” said Samantha Oborny, Nebraska Wheat Board. “Yields are averaging about 60 in some places, seeing about 50-70 bushels per acre.” Protein for the state ranges from nine to twelve percent and test weights have been near 60 pounds per bushel.
