The Philippines Department of Agriculture placed a temporary ban in place on the importation of poultry from the state of Minnesota. This after there were three counties with confirmed cases in Minnesota. In 2016 the Philippines and the U.S. agreed a statewide ban could only be imposed if three or more counties in a given state had detected avian influenza. Products already in transit will be accepted if they were produced 14 days before the first outbreak.
