Persistent rain and windy days resulted in a delay in the spraying regiment in the southern Red River Valley. Thunder Seed District Sales Manager Derek Haug is also seeing nitrogen issues. “There’s a lot of areas where you can see the fertilizer got away from us with the amount of rain we had before the start of the season.” Crops were planted later than normal. “A lot of that looks pretty good but it’s just behind. I think if we get some nice weather and we can keep that into the fall everything’s going to look pretty decent.”
