Insect pressure is generally low across the region. NDSU Extension Entomologist Janet Knodel credits the cool and wet weather that we had. That may change with this past week’s hot temperatures. “Typically, most insects do better when it’s warmer because they go through their biology quicker.” Grasshoppers are the most prevalent insect this season, but are not at economic thresholds.
