The U.S. Climate Prediction Center predicts La Nina is favored to develop in the August-to-October time period, giving it a 70 percent chance of happening. There’s nearly an 80 percent chance of La Nina occurring between November and January. With this forecast, it is becoming less likely that La Nina will impact the current growing season.
