USDA’s quarterly hogs and pigs report increased the swine inventory by one percent from a year ago. The supply of market hogs rose two percent. The March-May pig crop totaled 34 million head, up two percent. Iowa remains the top-producing hog state, followed by North Carolina, Illinois and Minnnesota.
