The House Appropriations Labor, Health and Human Services Subcommittee has passed a FY2025 budget and it includes language to reduce the H2-A Adverse Effect Wage Rate to the 2023 levels and freeze the rate for two years. The Adverse Effect Wage Rate has more than doubled since 2005, influencing the cost of agricultural labor. The full committee will hear the bill July 10.
