Extreme rainfall hit portions of southeastern South Dakota, southern Minnesota and northwest Iowa over the weekend. Worthing, South Dakota, which is about 20 miles south of Sioux Falls, received nearly 18 inches of rain. Canton, South Dakota, had more than 13 inches. There was more than eight inches of rain at Mitchell, Chamberlain, Adrian and Windom. Flooding on the rivers and streams in southeast South Dakota and southwest Minnesota is expected to crest today and tomorrow.
