Despite wet weather and alfalfa weevil pressure, Dairyland Seed Regional Agronomist Brian Weller says a nice alfalfa crop is being seen in southern Minnesota. “We’ve had some very good tonnages, especially the folks that have fertilized and done a good job of fertility in the past.” Weller says some farmers cut their first crop of hay early due to the alfalfa weevil pressure.
