Foundation of the Farm Bill

Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee and a senior member of the Senate Ag Committee John Hoeven says that Boozman’s framework is what we need to serve all Americans. “We need to get a farm bill done and we need to get it right. If we follow the framework that Senator Boozman laid out, we will get it right.” Hoeven says the concept of the farm bill is for help when it is needed but also for it to not be there when help is not needed. “Senator Boozman’s framework does exactly that. It makes the investments we need in the farm safety net and that’s ultimately the bedrock and foundation of what the farm bill is all about.”
