The plant-based food company, Beyond Meat, posted a larger-than-expected loss in the first quarter. Overall revenues totaled nearly $76 million, down from $92 million one year ago. The company suffered a net quarterly loss of $54 million. Looking ahead to the balance of the year, Beyond Meat officials said its financial outlook remains uncertain due to inflation, high interest rates and weak demand for the plant-based meat category.
