In the Pioneer Agronomy Update, Pioneer Field Agronomist Kevin Sinner said progress has been made in small grain and sugarbeet seeding. However, Sinner compared the corn and soybean planting to having a dollar bill that is being pulled by a string. “As soon as we get close, it gets pulled a little further away from us.” With cool, damp conditions, the corn in the ground has only seen limited GDUs. Sinner remains optimistic. “We’re still in April and it is early.”
