Even with extremely dry conditions in parts of Brazil, Soybean and Corn Advisor President Michael Cordonnier expects South American corn and soybean production to be close to last year’s production levels. The Brazilian crop will need rain for a month and a half to finish the crop. “Usually your last rains in central Brazil are in those first ten days of May, but the meteorologists all say with the El Nino you’re going to cut off the rain sooner rather than later.”
