North Dakota Senator John Hoeven and Ag industry leaders gathered at NDSU this week to discuss plans for a new Agriculture Policy Research Center at the university. Senator Hoeven helped secure $2 million in funding for the new facility as well as over $50 million for other Ag initiatives across the state. “This drives federal farm policy,” the Senator said about the impact the new research center is expected to have, going on to say that the goal was to provide information from the source of the Ag industry to policymakers who might not have as much knowledge about the inner workings of Ag production.
