Moisture conditions seem to be in good shape for spring planting. “We didn’t have the drought that they did further south,” reports John Field, who farms at Stephen in far northwestern Minnesota. “We were a little on the drier side but our soil moisture is more in line with where we need to be.” Field says some planting plans may shift yet this spring.
