Tyson Foods is permanently closing its Perry, Iowa pork processing plant at the end of June, impacting nearly 1,300 employees. In a statement, Tyson Foods said it is working with state and local officials to provide resources to its employees. The plant has a capacity of 9,000 head per day operating on a single shift.
