U.S. pork producers approved a resolution to enhance the country’s live swine traceability system at the National Pork Industry Forum. Incoming National Pork Producers Council President and Minnesota farmer Lori Stevermer says traceability has been a priority for the industry for decades and that the standards will improve the ability to control the spread of foreign animal disease and lessen the economic impact of potential outbreaks.
