The second largest wildfire in U.S. history continues to ravage the Texas panhandle. “There is more control now,” said Texas Farm Bureau Spokesperson Gary Joiner. “About 45 percent of the now 1.1-million-acre fire is contained, which is much better. We were in the 10 to 15 percent containment for several days.” According to Joiner weather is finally calming and helping with containment efforts after days of heavy winds spreading the fires. Donations are being accepted. Visit texasfarmbureau.org to find out how to help.
