In 14 of the last 16 months, pig farmers have operated at a loss. “This too shall pass, agriculture is cyclical,” said Jill Resler, CEO, Minnesota Pork Producers Association. After this past week’s Pork Congress, Resler said producers have a positive outlook. “You could see the optimism in farmers’ faces that maybe we’re getting to the end of the cycle and that’s encouraging.”
