Politics will play a large role in determining if a farm bill gets done in 2024. Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers Association Executive Director Harrison Weber believes congressional leadership wants to get this done. “It’s just whether the farm bill can rise to the level of importance with all of the other issues that Americans are facing,” said Weber. “If we can get the farm bill to that top spot, we’ll get it done this year, no doubt, but there’s a lot of things at play right now, polarizing issues like the economy or border security.”
