Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is proposing another $1 billion investment in infrastructure. That’s on top of the $2.6 billion bonding bill that was approved this past year. In addition to money for roads and bridges, there’s $3 million for port improvements on the Great Lakes and inland river navigation systems. The proposal also includes $10 million for the Reinvest in Minnesota program to acquire permanent easements to improve water quality and wildlife habitat.
