Houthi rebels fired a missile toward an American warship Sunday, but the United States was able to shoot it down. These pirates have been attacking commercial ships on the Red Sea, preventing commerce through the Suez Canal. As a result, more than 2,000 commercial ships have been rerouted around the southern tip of Africa to avoid the Red Sea. This has been the first skirmish since the U.S. and coalition forces hit targets in Yemen used by the Houthi rebels.
