Attorney’s General from 13 states have filed a brief in opposition to Massachusetts’s Question 3. Similar to California’s Proposition 12, Q3 bans the sale of pork sold in a state that does not meet the state’s specific housing standards. The AGs contend Q3 violates the constitution with a state regulating interstate commerce. A group of Midwestern pork producers filed a lawsuit in July that also challenged the constitutionality of the Massachusetts law.
