Due to low water levels, new restrictions are in place for shipments moving through the Panama Canal. As of November 1, a maximum of 30 booking slots are available each day. Both north and southbound shipments are multiple days behind schedule and the smaller vessels are averaging delays of nearly two weeks. Restrictions are expected to continue into 2024.
