The House is in recess until tomorrow night when the Republican caucus will hear from candidates for the open Speakership. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan are considered the top two candidates for the job. Scalise represents a district in Louisiana. While Jordan is a lawmaker from Ohio. Oklahoma Congressman Kevin Hern, who leads the Republican Study Committee, is being described as another option for the Speaker job. Each of these men have sought significant cuts for farm program spending. The vote will happen on Wednesday.
