The farm bill expired with the end of the fiscal year. National Association of Wheat Growers Vice President of Policy and Communications Jake Westlin said the date is significant, but it’s more important to get the legislation done before the end of the year. “There are some programs that would be impacted if there isn’t a farm bill in place before the end of the year, you can get into some sticky areas.”
