The National Association of Wheat Growers and U.S. Wheat Associates are praising a bipartisan group of lawmakers for the introduction of the American Farmers Feed the World Act. This proposal would restore the intent of the Food for Peace program without taking additional farm bill funding. A similar bill was introduced in the House earlier this summer. In a news release, the wheat groups said this proposal will feed more hungry people worldwide without additional taxpayer costs.
