After wrapping up its annual tour, Pro Farmer is estimating U.S. corn production at 14.9 billion bushels with an average yield of 172 bushels per acre. That compares to the August USDA forecast of 15.1 billion bushels and an average yield of 175.1 bushels per acre. Pro Farmer is looking for a soybean crop of 4.1 billion bushels and an average yield of 49.7 bushels per acre. That’s below the latest USDA estimate of 4.2 billion bushels and an average of 50.9 bushels per acre.
