Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative had been in pre-pile harvest since mid-August. Vice President of Agriculture Todd Geselius is looking at a very nice crop. “Our projection is right around 33 tons per acre.” Timely rains have helped the crop. “We’ve had just enough rain to keep things going; these beets are amazing how much drought they can take.”
