R-CALF’s annual convention is taking place in Rapid City, South Dakota. R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard says besides the trade show, features speakers, and legislation updates will take place. A line-up of speakers is scheduled to focus on anti-trust issues, checkoff-reform efforts, and mandatory country of origin labeling. “Momentum is building in support of mandatory country of origin labeling. It’s a long and slow process, but we’re hoping to make headway soon.” According to Bullard, over 400 producers from 20 different states will attend the 24th convention.
