Soybean aphid numbers are ramping up across North Dakota, increasing from 22 percent of the fields scouted last week to 40 percent this week. Higher populations are being reported in Minnesota. The fields that are not at threshold should be monitored. In addition to soybean aphids, scout for grasshoppers, bean leaf beetles, foliage-feeding caterpillars and soybean mites. NDSU is also warning farmers about potential pyrethroid resistance.
