The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has established a pilot program to prevent the spread of Palmer amaranth through feed. With this pilot project, state inspectors will be collecting samples from Minnesota feed manufacturing facilities. Millet and sunflowers are seen as higher risk commodities for the spread of Palmer.
