Hessian fly has been seen for many years; but it has never been at treatable levels in North Dakota. NDSU Cropping Systems Specialist Anitha Chirumamilla says that is changing. “Last year was the first time we’ve noticed significant damage from this insect, so we’re monitoring how far it’s distributed throughout the state.”
