Building relationships with government agencies has been critically important for the poultry industry in responding to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Acting Deputy Regional Director Carl Milligan says in their work has implications for both wildlife and domestic animals. “We work with other organizations like USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. We help them respond and respond ourselves to help support agriculture operations.”
