In the Roseau, Minnesota area, Richard Magnusson is looking a crop that differs based on the fields that caught a rain and those that didn’t. “Rains have been very spotty. Some spots have been in severe drought and the crops are going backwards; other areas look good.” The small grains and ryegrass didn’t handle the heat and dryness very well. “Some of the wheat is very short, the stand is thin and it is starting to change colors.”
