Despite early stress, Kirby Steichen is pleased with his wheat crop at Goodrich, North Dakota. “A few hilltops got hurt earlier with the heat; we were dry for a little period there, but, all in all, stand looks good,” Steichen told RRFN. “The heads look to be decent size and I think will fill good now with the little bit of cooler weather and the moisture we have.” The corn in central North Dakota went in late, but Steichen says the crop caught up with the recent heat.
