USDA is making an additional $400 million in grants available for the Fertilizer Product Expansion Program. The money will be used to support domestic fertilizer capacity. USDA previously allocated $500 million for this program. The new grant funds are due to strong interest in the program. In the first two rounds of funding, USDA received $3 billion in applications.
