According to the Kyiv School of Economics, Ukraine’s agricultural sector could take 20 years or more to recover from Russia’s invasion. Ukraine’s production of wheat, corn, sunflower, and sunflower oil has sharply fallen since the start of the war in February of 2022. According to the report, sunflower, barley, and wheat sectors are expected to recover by 2040, while maize, rye, oats, and rapeseed sectors are expected to be fully recovered by 2050.
