Bipartisan legislation has been introduced in the Senate, requiring automakers to keep AM radio available in their new vehicles at no additional cost. This follows action by some companies to drop the option for free-over-the-air AM radio. The bill cosponsors include Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer. The National Association of Farm Broadcasting is one of the groups endorsing the bill.
