Dryness across a large part of the Eastern Corn Belt is raising concern about river levels. Loewen and Associates market analyst Matt Hines says barge traffic could be at risk. “We got down to some record low levels not too long ago, replenished them pretty quickly,” said Hines. “I would say we’ll be talking about it again this summer.”
